In the recent issue of "Backpacker" magazine, the Alpine Light Down Jacket was featured in the "Thru Hiker Picks" article where 2,000-milers select the best ultralight, comfort, and budget gear. Here is what thru-hiker Greg from Wild had to say.
"I got this 14-ounce jacket for the high altitude and windy conditions of the CDT in Colorado, and it saved the day. The 800-fill down kept me warm in the venings and early morning, and the hood cinces snug to keep heat in. And it still packs down to the size of a Nalgene."
