Montbell Athlete Heather "Anish" Anderson Review and Recommendations

Reviewed in December 2018

I wore the Wickron Cool Fingerless Gloves Long nearly every day of my Calendar Year Triple Crown hike in 2018. I primarily got them to reduce the amount of UV on my skin since I was out for over 8 months. Additionally, they provided extra warmth on chilly mornings and evenings when it was too warm to wear a jacket, but I needed more than just my short sleeve shirt. The wickron cool fabric, however, was breathable enough that I could wear them even through the heat of the day in the Southern California desert. The palms have grippy faux leather dots to improve grip which was nice when I was using poles. The elastic at the upper arm never let the sleeves slide down. It was a little tight on me, I wore a Medium, but that was probably due to them being an Asian fit. The forearm and hands however fit perfectly.

I was also impressed by the overall stain resistance of the fabric and its durability. After months of wear, there are a few small holes in the palms where I grip the trekking poles, but they are otherwise in great shape.
